Hot plate welding & Hot insert press
Hot plate welding employs a thermal welding technique to fuse thermoplastics together. This process involves placing specially designed heated tools between the parts that need to be joined.
The heat causes the parts to melt for a predetermined amount of time. Once the heating is complete, the tool is removed, and the two parts are pressed together with a pre-set force and time while the plastic cools to create a strong bond.
Hot insert pressing involves inserting heated metal inserts into plastic components. These inserts are contained within a heated cartridge/magazine and are fed automatically or manually, depending upon component requirements or customer volume.
